Dr. Joshua Sepesi

Dr. Joshua Sepesi has been providing compassionate, personalized care to women in Athens since 2003. A graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Sepesi completed his residency training at the University of Tennessee, where he earned the prestigious "Golden Apple" Outstanding Resident Teaching Award. He founded Athens Healthcare for Women in 2005, where he has dedicated nearly two decades to supporting women through every stage of their healthcare journey.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Sepesi has demonstrated a strong commitment to medical education and community leadership. He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership, where he was honored as Outstanding Clinical Assistant Professor in 2018. Dr. Sepesi previously served as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Mary's Medical Hospital and Chairman of the Perinatal Committee at Athens Regional Medical Center. As a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a father of two, he brings both expertise and empathy to every patient interaction.
Jessica Swilley, NP

Jessica Swilley has been a dedicated member of the Athens Healthcare for Women team since 2007, bringing extensive experience in both obstetrics and gynecology to her patients. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with her Master's degree from Georgia State University, she provides comprehensive women's healthcare including prenatal care, routine and high-risk obstetric management, gynecological care, and contraceptive counseling.
With a nursing background that includes labor and delivery at Athens Regional Medical Center and intensive care experience, Jessica offers a unique depth of clinical expertise to every patient encounter. Her commitment to women's health extends beyond the practice through her membership in the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, and her volunteer work with medical missions in Haiti, where she has provided care to underserved communities.
Gladys Hunt
Gladys Hunt | Practice Administrator
Gladys was born in CA but was raised in GA. She earned her degree in Healthcare Administration from Everest University and joined Athens Healthcare for Women in 2024 with 13 years of prior healthcare experience. In her free time you can find her with her husband trying to keep up with 3 busy boys; running to sports games and trying new, fun recipes in the kitchen!
Katie Segars

Katie was born and raised in Athens. She joined Athens Healthcare for Women in June of 2007. Prior to this, she worked at Athens Regional as a lab tech for 7 years. She is married with two daughters and two dogs, who keep her very busy. In her free time, Katie likes to watch movies while enjoying popcorn and candy.
Blakelyn Bledsoe
Blakelyn bledsoe | medical assistant
Blakelyn was born and raised in Athens, GA, and loves the Dawgs! She graduated high school at North Oconee High then pursued her medical dream by becoming a medical assistant, graduating from medical school at Georgia Allied Health Institute!
She has a passion for women’s health because she deeply values the opportunity to educate and empower women about their health and the bond they make with the patients — especially on the obstetric side. She loves the opportunity to work and learn alongside Dr Sepesi and NP Jessica, and wouldn’t trade her role for the world.
Selina sun | medical assistant
Selina is a medical assistant from Montgomery, Alabama, who joined the team in January 2025. She is currently majoring in Biomedical Physiology at the University of Georgia, where she also serves as President of UGA Doctors Without Borders and sings a cappella.
Selina aspires to attend medical school with the goal of specializing in gynecology, obstetrics, and/or surgical oncology. Outside of her clinical work and rigorous academic schedule, she remains actively involved in global health advocacy and musical performance. Fun fact: Selina was born exactly on her due date!

Cambrey McDaniel

Cambrey McDaniel joined the Athens Healthcare for Women team in June 2025 and also serves as part of the St. Mary’s Athens Hospital sonography team. After graduating from the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program in 2023, she brought with her a uniquely well-rounded background — six years in the U.S. Army, five years in Human Resources, and a stint in the fitness world helping others chase their goals (and maybe a few sore muscles).
Cambrey is passionate about patient care and loves being part of a team that truly supports women’s health — especially since her own daughter was delivered by Dr. Sepesi! When she’s not scanning, you can usually find her knee-deep in a new home project or hanging out with her golden retriever, Moose, who firmly believes he’s her assistant sonographer.
Audrey Peck

Audrey was born and raised in Madison County, GA. She has two pups “Diesel”, a German Shepherd and “Dixie”, a rescue mutt. She joined the team at Athens Healthcare for Women in July of 2018, and in her free time she loves to take her dogs to play in the park.
Kristin McGarity
Kristin McGarity | receptionist
Kristin was born and raised in Franklin county but currently lives in Comer with her 2 sons and 3 dogs. She joined Athens Healthcare for Women in 2024. She LOVES UGA football, the beach, family time, and Jesus. Fun fact: Dr. Sepesi delivered her youngest son!
Lora Carlisle

Lora has worked in the medical billing field for over 25 years. She joined Dr. Sepesi’s team in April of 2022. She has been married to my husband, Scott, for 31 years. She has 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
Outside of work, she enjoys camping, spending time with family and most importantly watching her grandchildren participate in their many activities, from sports to dancing. She strives to be the best Nana ever!!
